The ANA, in partnership with Reed Smith LLP, released a comprehensive legal guide for the advertising industry to address issues and questions arising out of the global coronavirus pandemic. Importantly, The Impact of COVID-19 on Brand Advertising and Marketing covers considerations regarding endorsement deals in light of coronavirus concerns (Chapter 3), as well as guidance on commercial productions (Chapter 4), including how the JPC is working with SAG-AFTRA to address issues, including late payments, cancellations, timing for ACS payments, employee waivers, and stock footage.
